New Year, New Website

New Year, New Website

New website for CWDmedia

How’s it going, folks?  How do you like the new website?

After what felt like an eternity, I finally got a few quiet days over the festive period.  The rest was much needed – and appreciated – but once the turkey leftovers were smashed it wasn’t long before I was feeling restless and so I’ve been busy giving the CWDmedia site a long overdue facelift.

The world and his dog have waxed lyrical about how 2020 was an extraordinary year (actually the buzzword seems to have been ‘unprecedented’ but I like to be different).  It certainly has been here at CWDmedia but contrary to many industries, I’ve found many of my clients taking the quieter times forced upon them by lockdowns and furlough periods to address their marketing and, in turn, this has kept me rather busy.

One client in particular did some unbelievable things in 2020.  Xtreme Fitness, despite having temporary closures forced upon it due to COVID-related restrictions, still moved to a huge new premises, launched an onsite café, a host of new membership deals and a regular magazine.  All of these activities required graphic design and print from CWDmedia and it has been thrilling to see how well it’s all been received by the gym’s members.

Aside from Xtreme Fitness, I designed and launched a new website for Interiors By Me (a Birmingham-based interior designer specialising in show homes and later living). Landywood Windows, a uPVC windows, doors & conservatories company also went live with a new website, as did Carl Stokes Counselling, a specialist in psychotherapy and assisting patients with mental health, wellbeing and a variety of other difficulties.

Another fun project was the creation of a new brand identity, clothing tags and stickers for start-up company Be Your Own Hero.  Inspired by outdoor pursuits and overcoming personal challenges, BYOH’s initial run of branded apparel sold like hotcakes.  You may even have seen me rocking my BYOH cap on social media.

I’ve also contributed graphic design and social media support for national charity WISE Ability, helping to drive engagement across their Facebook and Twitter channels through the creation of media rich posts with key messaging in line with their marketing strategy.

What’s next?

Last year came to an end with a handful of projects still in the pipeline.  Some of these are very long term but should come to fruition before we’re welcoming in 2022.  More work is already planned in for Xtreme Fitness despite Cumbria being in under Tier 4 restrictions at the time of writing, and a number of other clients have come to me either for a new website or development work, which should be fun.

I also have an exciting new client that I hope to be in a position to announce in the next week or so.  Keep checking back for updates.

I do have capacity to take on more work.  If you require anything designing, printing or if you’d like me to look at your marketing/communications strategy, please get in touch.
